The Ark and
the Blood
To learn of the discovery of the Ark of the Covenant by Ron Wyatt in 1982, was
thrilling news. To think that the LORD was giving us hard evidence that He
died on the cross, that the rocks were rent, and His Blood actually flowed down
that crack and onto the Ark of the Covenant, that had been hidden there in a
cave 615 years before. Type had met anti-type as predicted in the Old
Testament.
There has always been the symbols as in the Sanctuary, which were to point to a
literal fulfillment in the future. Moses anointed the altar with blood
(Exodus 24:6), and Jesus anointed the Ark of the Covenant with His own blood,
the literal fulfillment of the ratification done by Moses.
"The earthly sanctuary foreshadowed the ratification of the covenant on
Calvary, by the sacrifice of Christ. . ." The Sacrificial Priest,
page 45. So why should you be surprised when the LORD has revealed to us
that this had a literal fulfillment? I find this evidence to be quite
thrilling, that the LORD would not leave this up to speculation, but long ago
placed hard physical evidence that He was a real person, that He died on the
Cross in Jerusalem, and that He shed His blood, that literally went down a crack
caused by the great earthquake (Matthew 27:51), and fell on the Ark of
the Covenant. This was the ratification of the Old Testament Covenant
given to Moses at Sinai. "This covenant deed was to be ratified
with the blood of Christ." Desire of Ages 659. This
is where type met antitype, in the ratification with the Blood of Christ, where
Moses used the blood of animals.
"When Jesus again met with His disciples, Thomas was with them. . . .
And Jesus gave him the evidence which he had desired." Conflict
and Courage, page 328. Here Jesus gave them hard evidence when Thomas
was doubting, why would He not give us hard evidence here at the end of the
world? The answer is that He has given us hard archaeological evidence on
which to base our faith.
"God never asks us to believe, without giving sufficient evidence upon
which to base our faith. His existence, His character, the truthfulness of His
word, are all established by testimony that appeals to our reason; and this
testimony is abundant. Yet God has never removed the possibility of doubt. Our
faith must rest upon evidence, not demonstration. Those who wish to doubt
will have opportunity; while those who really desire to know the truth will find
plenty of evidence on which to rest their faith." Steps to Christ,
page 105.
There are ever those who harbor doubt and unbelief, of those there is nothing
that can be done for them. "But there came the unbelieving
question, 'What sign showest Thou then, that we may see, and believe Thee? what
dost Thou work?' Had not the Jews just had fresh evidence in the feeding of the
five thousand? What work, what sign, could Christ present before them to
increase their faith? If evidence should be piled upon evidence, it would not,
could not, do more for them than had the evidence which had already been given.
It was not evidence that they wanted; it was an excuse to avoid the cross
involved in the acceptance of the Gospel." The Signs of the
Times, November 3, 1898.
"While Jesus hung upon the cross, as the soldier pierced his side with a
spear, there came out blood and water, in two distinct streams, one of
blood, the other of clear water. The blood was to wash away the sins of those
who should believe in His name. The water represents that living water which is
obtained from Jesus to give life to the believer." Spiritual Gifts. Volume
1, page 102-103. "But when they came to Jesus and found that he was
already dead, they did not break his legs. Instead, one of the soldiers
pierced Jesus' side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water.
The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true. He knows that
he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe."
John 19:33-35. NIV.
"Thank God that He who spilled His blood for us, lives to plead it,
lives to make intercession for every soul who receives Him . . . . We need to
keep ever before us the efficacy of the blood of Jesus. That life-cleansing,
life-sustaining blood, appropriated by living faith, is our hope. We need to
grow in appreciation of its inestimable value, for it speaks for us only as we
by faith claim its virtue, keeping the conscience clean and at peace with God."
S.D.A. Bible Commentary Vol. 7A, page 477. Remember that "He
spilled His blood for us," here on this earth, not in heaven.
"For then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the
world: but now once in the end of the world hath He appeared to put
away sin by the sacrifice of Himself." Hebrews 9:16.
"So Christ, the great antitype, Himself both high priest and
victim, clothed with his own spotless robes of righteousness, after giving His
life for the world, CAST THE VIRTUE OF HIS OFFERING, A CRIMSON CURRENT, IN THE
DIRECTION OF THE HOLY PLACE, reconciling man to God through the blood of the
cross." Ms 101, 1897, pp 11,12. ("The True High Priest."
September, 1897.)
The evidence is overwhelming to those who have faith to believe, to those who
doubt there is nothing to convince them. They refuse to believe and like
the Pharisees of old, "When the Pharisees heard Christ's answer, they
marveled, and left Him, and went their way. They were convinced; but, although
they marveled at Christ's wisdom, they would not yield. Another evidence
of the Saviour's divinity had been given them, but they hardened their hearts
against it. And from that time evidence had no effect on their deeply-rooted
prejudice." The Signs of the Times, February 8, 1899
"Those who desire to doubt will have plenty of room. God does not
propose to remove all occasion for unbelief. He gives evidence, which must be
carefully investigated with a humble mind and a teachable spirit, and all should
decide from the weight of evidence. God gives sufficient evidence for the candid
mind to believe; but he who turns from the weight of evidence because there are
a few things which he cannot make plain to his finite understanding will be left
in the cold, chilling atmosphere of unbelief and questioning doubts, and will
make shipwreck of faith."--5 Testimonies 675, 676 (1889).
Another example was the dispute over Christ speaking of His flesh and
blood. "Go forward to perfection, living in the Word of God, the
source of spiritual life. This Word is to be received unto the heart. Christ
speaks of it as His flesh and blood. "Whoso eateth My flesh and drinketh My
blood, hath eternal life;" He declares, "and I will raise him up at
the last day. For My flesh is meat indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He that
eateth My flesh and drinketh My blood dwelleth in Me and I in him." It
is in obedience to God's Word that we find eternal life." Pacific
Union Recorder, February 23, 1905
The end time events have happened much differently than any of us thought or
planned. We have had to be flexible and restudy many subjects, in the
light of advancing truth. The truth about the Ark of the Covenant, in
which are contained the Ten Commandments by which the world will be
judged. We are already feeling the breath of the Mark of the Beast Law
which goes contrary to the Ten Commandments, and the
One World Religion. The Ark of the Covenant will be brought forth by a
humble servant as a Testament to the World, when the Four Angels that are
guarding the Ark since Moses placed the Ten Commandments inside, receive
permission from on High to release this information to the world.
This writer is thrilled with the evidence that God the Father has placed His
Testament, the hard physical evidence that His Son came to earth and died on a
Cross, and shed His blood to save us from our sins. Bless His Holy Name,
Amen.
